For the dying process of the wood I use fire, in order to avoid the traditional paint and varnish finish. This technique creates a unique look and feel, honouring the elemental essence of the wood and the strong presence of the fire. Then the piece is hand polished with precision to uplift every detail.
The process begins with a profoundly curated 3.50 meter Parota wood piece, which undergoes a drying process in high heat for a long period of time. Once It’s ready I engrave the Fireflakes codes on the surface, a precise carving work on the wood to honour its natural essence.
Once the artwork is engraved, In this specific piece I revived the roughness of the natural fibres of the wood.
This is where I apply a black wax across the entire piece, in order to catalyse the alchemy of the fire.
The entire piece is burned inch by inch, making sure the flames dance with the edges of the Fireflakes codes.
The fire grasps on the surface by giving curves to the straight lines, this makes the look more organic. Making the perfect,
imperfect, as nature.
Once the entire piece is burnt, I step into the process of sand polishing, this will shed off the charcoal, and revive the natural veins of the wood. Bringing to light the process of “Burn to Dye”.
The tones are in perfect alchemy and the last step is to wax polish the entire piece to reactivate the wax, this creates an impermeable protection shield, so the masterpiece resists all kinds of environments.

The metal of the legs, undergoes a treatment after burnt and polished in which it still conserves the traces of the flames and smoke, creating an oxidised finish.
Every piece is cut separately, then I assemble them in their sacred geometry.
Through a powerful journey of Metallurgy, the pieces unite one by one through a process of welding.
And once the structure is standing on his own feet, then I burn it all in order to embrace the fire oxIdation, this completes the fire spirit's intervention through the entire creation of the piece.
This piece crystallises the sourced vision of hundreds of conversations with the spirit of Fire, where the flames embodied a geometrical language. The power of the fire is in its core which rises outwards to then return into the earth, and rise back through fractals into the vastness of the stars.
This is how Fireflakes birthed, bringing the wisdom of fire into a vision of symbols that represent the duality transforming into unity once the cycle of transformation is complete.
Since a table becomes the meeting point in a room of inspiration , we turn this symbols into an engraved manifesto that brings together all nourishment and creativity.
